A fight inside Topeka High School soon made it outside and eventually led to law enforcement officer speeding along Downtown Topeka streets, on foot.
The foot chase started at about 1:30 p.m., USD 501 Spokesman Ron Harbaugh said. Officers were able to catch up to suspects within 15 minutes, he said.
Campus Police captured two of the youths around 9th and Polk. Capital Police caught the other kid across the street from Topeka High, 800 SW 10th Ave. It is unknown how many of them are students and what, if any, charges will be filed, Harbaugh said.
