State lawmakers want to make sure Kansas policies and statues are not costing you money on gas and energy prices.
Today, Representative Joe Patton got the go ahead to establish a committee to study whether state policies have a negative impact on gasoline and energy prices in Kansas.
Patton said, "...the Kansas Legislature must do what it can to ensure our citizens and businesses have access to affordable gasoline and energy."
Patton also says if the study's results show a negative impact, lawmakers need to make changes next session.
