Bank burglary gone wrong

Manhattan — A burglary attempt injured one person Wednesday.

Location of bank

Police, responding to a business alarm, found a man bleeding from cuts and several windows broken out at the Community First Bank, 210 Tuttle Creek Blvd. at 12:30 Wednesday, according to a Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office press release.

The man, Steven R. Zachery, 19, of Waterloo, Iowa, was arrested and is being held on charges of criminal damage to property and attempted burglary.

The Riley County Police Office and Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office assisted in the investigation.
