If a child goes missing, the experience can be one of the scariest moments in a parent's life.
"It's just a gut-wrenching feeling that you don't ever wanna have again," said Rhonda Massey.
And for Massey that experience can be just as dangerous for the child as the parent.
"I really think that these bracelets are gonna revolutionize the way that we look for children that have special needs that don't understand danger," she said.
Massey's two children are autistic, and keeping them safe by using a tracking bracelet feels like a necessity for her family.
"They were a miracle really for us because you can't buy peace of mind, that's priceless," she said. "To know that that's gonna help keep them safe even who know save their life one day."
The bracelets are part of Project Lifesaver, and they aren't made just for children.
"It'll help me because I lost him last week, and had to call the police to find him," said Cynthia Patton.
Patton takes care of her husband who has Alzheimer's.
"He gets up in the middle of the night, thinks he's supposed to go to work and he goes through the wrong rooms, he gets so confused,' she said.
For these two families, one bracelet can buy peace of mind.
Project Lifesaver has also helped many families in Kansas.
