An extra kick in your garden for years to come!

If you got tree branches and limbs, and no place to put them, then bring them to the city mulching service for a small fee.

"As much as you can stuff in a small truck, it will cost you ten dollars," said Adam Moser.

Giant CATS will then transport your tree limbs to a huge grinder.

There are several meshes that the city can put in their grinder to chop up the limbs into different sizes. The mulch will come out a light tan, but as oxygen reacts with the mulch, it will turn into a darker brown.

Now the mulch is ready for your garden.

The mulch will last for a few years as it slowly breaks down, and that's a good thing.

"As it breaks down, if you use a natural wood product, it adds nutrients back to the soil, as well as organic matter; both, which are extremely important to plant growth," said Moser.

And, with a clay soil, like ours here at the station, we will take any nutrients we can get to better our produce.
