Might not seem like it, but the end of summer is near. A sure sign? Back-to-school bargains are beginning to pop up in malls and stores across the country.
A new survey from accounting firm Deloitte shows that this year's school shopping will be different from last year.
A full 71 percent of households plan on cutting back on their school spending this year. Almost half of all those surveyed plan on spending less than $100 for the back-to-school season.
Just how are Americans cutting back? The Deloitte survey says we're spending less on clothing. 83 percent of respondents will spend less on jeans, shirts and uniforms this year. Nearly half will spend less on new shoes for their school-age kids.
Nearly 90 percent of all back-to-school shoppers will drop by a big box discount store, like Wal-Mart or Target to do their shopping, looking for bargains to off-set their spending.
Nearly 80 percent say they'll be looking for "sale" signs for back-to-school items this year.

My consuming confidence has declined as well because of the tough economy and high prices. Instead of cutting back on essential back to back to school spending I have been shopping through bargain hunting websites like Unodeals.com to buy the same things at huge savings.
