After Coach Bill Self was done hanging with the Topeka Jayhawk Club, he rushed back to Lawrence to kick off session one of his annual kids' camp.
The Head Jayhawk is usually in charge of a dozen 18 to 22 years-olds, but during this time of the year he has to deal with more than 500 kids from age eight to nineteen.
The Campers moved in to their dorms yesterday and today they spent their first full day in the gym where they were treated with talks from former Jayhawks Keith Langford who returned to campus for the first time since 2005 and Aaron Miles.
"This is a good feeling. I didn't leave here on the best of terms and coming back with the guys winning a championship and the atmosphere, I really like what's going on right now," former Jayhawk Keith Langford said.
"It's always good having Keith back in the building, but me and Keith we see each other when we go to different workouts and summer league and stuff," former KU player Aaron Miles said.
Coach Self's camps run until June 19th.
