Some sirens still not operating properly

Shawnee County says it's got the siren situation under control.
Emergency crews checked three problem sirens today.
They say the tornado siren at 6th and Deer Parkway did not function because it runs on a battery that won't hold a charge.
Emergency management director Dave Sterbenz thinks the problem will be fixed with a new battery.
Two other sirens, which some citizens said weren't very loud during a test Monday, were loud and clear Tuesday.
