Prep all-state honors in soccer handed out

Ten Topeka girl soccer players have earned All-State honors from the Kansas Soccer Coaches Association.

The Class 6A quarter-finalist Washburn Rural placed three players on the team: Whitney Drane, Anna Ginder and Miranda Kirksey.

Ashley Ukena of Topeka High also made the list.

For the 5-A through 1-A team, Shawnee Heights led the way represented by three ladies: Mallorie Monhollon, Shelby Nincehelser and Nicole Tomes.

Hayden added two, Emily Andres and Michelle Sommer

And to round out the all-staters, Seaman added Amy Phipps to the team.
